Vintage T.P.S. Japan Super Flying Police Helicopter – No. 9094

Original vintage Japanese battery-operated tinplate toy dating from approximately the 1960s.

Made by T.P.S. – Toys Peter / Tokyo Playthings, Japan, and supplied in its highly decorative original illustrated box.

The helicopter features colourful lithographed tinplate construction with plastic rotor blades, pilot figure, police and Highway Patrol graphics and wheeled undercarriage.

The original box advertises the following automatic actions:

* Revolving propeller

* Forward movement and stop

* Simulated take-off and landing

* Circling action

* Blinking lights

* Engine sound

The toy requires two C-cell batteries, which are not included.

Condition

The helicopter displays well overall and retains strong colours and attractive lithographed detail.

* The small rear tail rotor appears to be missing

* There are some marks, light wear and age-related blemishes to the toy

* The original box has considerable storage wear, creasing, crushing, writing, edge damage and old repairs

* The toy has not been tested and is therefore sold as untested
