Original Vintage Corgi Toys No. 318 Lotus Elan S2 – Boxed

A very attractive original example of the classic Corgi Toys No. 318 Lotus Elan S2, dating from the 1960s.

Finished in the original metallic blue with black interior and complete with the original racing driver figure.

This wonderfully detailed Corgi model features an opening bonnet revealing the chromed Lotus engine, tipping seats, adjustable side windows, spring suspension and spun hubs with rubber tyres.

The model also retains the distinctive original “I’ve Got a Tiger in My Tank” period Esso advertising transfer to the boot.

Importantly, the car has not had the optional racing-number stickers applied, leaving the attractive metallic blue bodywork largely unadorned.

Supplied with its original Corgi Toys No. 318 Lotus Elan S2 blue and yellow illustrated picture box.

The model remains in very good original vintage condition with some small age/play-related marks and paint chips. The driver figure shows some paint wear and the original Tiger transfer shows age-related discolouration/wear. The opening bonnet operates correctly and the detailed engine is present.

The original box is complete and presents well for its age, with expected storage wear, rubbing, creasing and wear around the end flaps and corners.

A very appealing original 1960s Corgi example — not a modern reproduction.
