Detailed collector’s model of the famous Royal Navy battlecruiser HMS Hood, produced by Atlas Editions / DeAgostini as part of its Warships collection.

The model depicts HMS Hood with her distinctive long hull, four twin main-gun turrets, secondary armament, twin funnels, superstructure, masts and numerous smaller deck fittings.

Finished in traditional Royal Navy grey with contrasting deck and red/brown lower hull.

Presented on its original black display plinth with HMS Hood name plaque.

From the photographs, the model appears to be in excellent overall condition, with the numerous small and delicate fittings appearing very well preserved. Please study all photographs carefully to assess the exact condition and completeness of the smallest components.

Supplied with the original Atlas Editions / DeAgostini box and clear protective insert. The box shows noticeable age and storage wear including rubbing, marks and areas of surface loss. The clear packaging also shows age-related discolouration and storage marks.

HMS Hood was the only completed Admiral-class battlecruiser and became one of the most famous Royal Navy warships of the 20th century. She was sunk during the Battle of the Denmark Strait on 24 May 1941 while engaging Bismarck and Prinz Eugen.
